Table linen is woven heavier than bedding on purpose: at 190 gsm the cloth has enough weight to hang flat off the edge without a hem weight, and it does not shift when a plate is pushed across it. This is a 150 × 250 rectangle, which gives a 30 cm drop on a standard 90 × 190 table.
Red wine comes out if you rinse it cold the same evening. Olive oil, honestly, does not.
